Hey active did you get my last PM? Also did you ever modify your oil pump nut? I keep hearing horror stories of them ultimate dropping off and loosing complete oil pressure.

ive been looking into fixes myself for the oil nut issue (i wont rehash the reasons why people seem theorize that it happens). It seems that welding the nut to the shaft causes the shaft to fail down the road, and a drilled nut with a safety wire isnt much better.
Ive read that people have had more success with the oil pump upgrade kit from vac: http://store.vacmotorsports.com/vac-...kit-p1077.aspx just wish it wasnt $200 ![]() btw the drilled nut with safety wire can be found on bw:http://store.bimmerworld.com/m50-dri...-nut-p640.aspx |

Well for now I'm going to run an oil pressure gauge until i get tat kit from Vac for the 200$. sucks its 200 but better then costing you a new motor lol

yea thats not a bad idea, where are you planning on mounting it?
im probably going to bite the bullet and get the vac oil pump kit and pan baffle this summer since it makes sense to do them at the same time... no sense in raising the motor more than you need too... anyone have any sources for cheap used tires? |

What pan baffle kit are you referring too? And how's the labor for all this work?

And as far as mounting the gauge I was thinking on the dash to the upper left. That was if I loose oil pressure I'll see it right away and e able to shut the car off

from what ive read both are fairly easy (the oil pump kit requires a press) and dont require special tools. i believe i read somewhere that you need to raise the engine up to get the oil pan off but i could be wrong ![]() thanks to your new signature i wont be getting anymore weird looks in class when jwoww goes sliding down a stripper pole |

this is great, i hope to one day convert my sedan to a track only beast. drifting sounds like a good way for some cheap thrills.
Ive ridden in a drift taxi with a national level pro at the the hockenhiemring, looks doable. |

Btw i dropped the welded diff in and sofar loving it. Other than that, after talking to 3 other fabricators, I've decided to go with the mason engineering rear subframe brace. It appears to be the most solid/best option out there. Ordering her up monday and will keep you guys posted on that.. Hope to have her ready for night moves on the 25th!
