Oh, and BTW, my comment was stock to stock, and yes, a stock S2000 will slap the piss out of ANY BMW in the corners when it was in production. The new 1 series and z4 can probably keep up/win though.

Callin BS on this statement! BMW track day at Sebring a few years ago there were 2 S2000s running with the BMWs, they were driven by experienced drivers and were unable to run with the comp pkg equipped M3s. S2000s can pull around .88g, M3 comp pkg .97g, a full .1g is a huge difference! I enjoyed blowing the S2000s into the weeds with my Viper (1.05g). And the S2000 needed about twice as many shifts per lap to keep that little 4 cyl engine in the powerband

I'm fairly sure E46 CSL's and S2000's were under production at the same time. And something tells me the CSL would wipe the floor with the S2000 in the corners and on the straights... but that's just my opinion.

Don't even need to bring the almighty CSL into the discussion, the lower performance ZCP (comp pkg) that was produced during the S2000 years and available in the US ran the slalom cones at 73.4 mph while the s2000 could only manage 71.7 mph.

The debate was on Hyundai and not Honda. Just want to make sure everybody remember that.
