Sig P250 is gone...replaced with P226 Tac Ops

Will not miss the DAO trigger on the P250 at all. Also picked up a Beretta 92FS.....was my duty weapon the the military and after having so many polymer guns...wanted something solid again like my 1911. AK is at the gunsmith getting the new Tapco trigger group installed and new piston. Next week at the range is going to be so fun. Love the 40 mags with 20 round cap.

Sig P226 Tac Ops pic...mine comes in this week:

Way to upgrade! I also hated the P250. It still stands as one of the worst guns I've ever shot.

I liked it and hated it. Trigger was the worst I have ever used. Great for a revolver guy but not for me. I have high hopes for the P226 Tacops. If this one does not stand up to my HK P30L....done with Sig. I am a Glock guy BTW....LOL. Right now, the best 9mm I own is the HK....nothing can touch it in my armory. Still, with my Beretta 92FS...going back to the basics with a gun that was like the Walther I blew the frame on. Just love the feel of a heavy gun....guess that is why I like to shoot my Desert Eagle 50 AE.

EDIT: And yes, the Beretta M9 was not a favorite for me...but I still miss the military attachment to me. Great complement to my Kimber 1911 Raptor II.

Range report....put about 200 rounds through it. Had FTF on every mag with the 2nd round. That is a mag issue. Loaded with 18 instead of 20 had no FTF. Gun is accurate and shoots well. Still was better with my new Beretta 92FS/M9. Granted...is was my military duty weapon. Fired about 500 rounds today with the Kimber 1911, Sig, and Beretta. Besides the mag issues with the Sig..great day at the range.

What 20rd mag are you using? I have a mecgar 20rd I run in my 226 loaded to 20 always and have never had an issue with it or any of my other mags.

All they say are Sig Sauer P226, made in USA. I assumed they were Mec-Gar coming with the TacOps.
