HID Help

Just trying to make sure, but I just got a Polarion HID H7 Kit and it is mostly plug and play except for the part where the bulb goes into the housing. Do I have to drill the housing that holds the bulb or did I receive the wrong kit ? Otherwise there is no way the bulb will stay in the housing. Please help

I had the same problem as you have. I bought a McCulloch HID H7 kit that said it was all plug and play. The wiring is very straight forward and a chimp could hook it up, but as far as installing the new bulbs thats a different story. Yes, you have to drill out your stock bulb holders, which proved to be a real pain as I couldn't get both bulbs to point in the same direction or stay with a nice tight fit so I just put the kit up for sale the next day. I am doing a Bi-Xenon retrofit, I really think thats the way to go if you want a nice clean install. Some members have done this though, I got alot of information from I believe "cheffy", he was a really nice guy and helped me out when I was doing the install. Hope this helps -Michael.

Thanks for the advice. The manufacturer actually got back to me last night and mentioned for our particular car setup there is no way around it but to get the actual bi-xenons. I ordered 2 extra bulb housings from Circle BMW today for $16.00 and will try the install . The manufacturer was also very helpfull and will assist me with info with the install so I should be fine. If you are thinking about the Bi-xenons I got a price of about $900 from Circle BMW today but the guy said he never did one before so I am not sure what type of retrofit it was. Good luck.

Hey, thanks for the info. Was that price of 900 for the pair or for each headlight? I already picked up a drivers side brand new off of ebay. Now I just need a passenger side that I can't find anywhere. Thanks -Michael.

The price I got was for a pair of retrofit bi-xenons but again I am not sure how it really works. Call circle bmw at 732-978-5529
