G-Power had the Technik Kit with ASA TM12 Supercharger. The T3-313 is new and optimized for induction under 8 PSI to get more boost at lower rpms and without any delay. My kit will be sent to me on 7.3.12'. I think, i would be able to get this thing working an 10/11.

I will do a oil change to 10W60 Shell Helix, becouse the supercharger is cooled and oiled by the engine-oil-circuit.

After that i will change oil in tranny, diff front and rear...

I can't wait to see what happens with this kit!!

There are a number of very old threads both in E46F and Bimmerfest.com that cover the old ASA kits. The only place I could find complete and useful information is from Mr. Paddleshift.

http://vsetrack.com/simple_upgrades_for_asa.htm

He saved all the old tech spec sheets and documented his upgrades very well. If you're looking for slight tweaks for your ASA kit, this is a good place to start.

Where did you guys order kits from on the American side? I checked out the Precision Sports website but didn't see the 330xi kit listed.

I like how it looks in the engine bay. From what I have seen GPower SC kits are quite pricey !

So I called up Precision Sport & talked with "Frank", he said the Basic kit (50 HP gain) ends up being a little over $4K because of international shipping. So unfortunately for us U.S.A. guys, this kit ends up NOT being cost effective for the HP given.

Damn, $4k after shipping...no bueno. I was hoping the $2.6k quoted by OP was the end price. I'll have to enjoy pictures for the time being.

Woohoo ... last friday the postman rings and 18 hours later the kit was installed correctly. The Quality is amazing, i've never seen so much design and technical know how on such a small place. The whole manual was great and installation was no problem. Here are some photos:

Power delivery is fine and this week i will change the pulley to get more boost

When will you be coming to America to visit with any friends & family ?

I may want you to bring a box with a Supercharger inside it , as part of your luggage.

Everything looks good, keep us up to date as you make progress.

For that shipping price you could fly over and have a nice vacation. Take along an extra duffle bag for parts.

That's odd, I felt like I was on e46. Watch exhaust gets a tag.. I'm sure 10k other words will link to an ad. OP, I have been interested in this kit for awhile, any chance you took pictures of the inside of the pipes? From a hardware point of view this kit is the best. AA kit looks inadequate in comparison. Can't wait for a dyno! EDIT: is that a stock maf?

Good News:

Spend some time for optimizing the ECU and the TCM to delivery the full amont of power from the system. Changed the 120mm Pulley to a 100mm Pulley to get ~0,45 BAR (6.5 PSI). After that hardware-change a testdrive was amazing, getting so much torque ... but with a enabled wideband-lambda-sensor i've read out a lean run after 4500 RPM and a with stock ECU-Soft a knocking running engine ... woo ...

After that i bought a e39 fuel-filter, which has a very nice addon against the e46-fuel-filter: a changeable fuel-pressure-regulator. With a 4 Bar (58PSI) Regulartor, instead of 3.5 Bar (50PSI), the engine gets more fuel.

Last week i've spend some hours at germanys best tuner for straight-six-bmw-engines. He ONLY tunes BMW-Engines and you can look over his shoulder and you can see what he changes in WinOLS to get this supercharged-beast running best...

Fortunately the engine and gearbox runs better than ever! Car runs like a stabbed pig and 5.5 seconds from 0-60 is a worth! 167 MPH are able...

My Ride: too fast e46/330xi
is running a e39 fuel filter really possible? I would love to get more fuel pressure! could someone chime in and tell me if this is for real?!

just checked and the e39 filter looks nothing close to the e46 one... would they still be compatible tho?

thx!

No problem at all, but you need to remove the metall-safety-plate, which insures the fuel filter and the fuel-hoses. The e39-Fuel Filter is thicker at the bottom side, becouse fuel pressure regulator is changeble.

Here is a picture...

I was just about to ask if someone did this. At 4k, nevermind. I wonder how much it would cost if I shipped one to my "shop"

Did that e39 fuel filter do the trick. Or will you need to change injectors as well?

Btw did you get TUV approval report with the kit?
