Will blitzsafe work?

I know blitzsafe has an adapter that allows you to connect Xm radio through your cd changer harness. In order to do this do you need a new reciever, or will an older one work (my car is a 2001). Thankd for your help

I think it only works on 2003 and up, not sure.
Go to www.Blitzsafe.com and search the message boards and ask.

Blitzsafe Yes for 2001

I inquired last week at a local car audio shop about using a Blitzsafe to add iPod connectivity. They said, yes, and looked up the BlitZsafe price in their reference book, $120+$45 install. Blitzsafe also has a model that works for satellite radio input and it may be the same model. You can buy online for about $99 and DIY, I think.

For 2003 and later, there is a BMW accessory option that installs an input port inside the glovebox. Pics of that available online at bmwusa.com.

I have the dual Blitzsafe adapter for XM and the Alpine changer. I have the XM installed already, and am about to embark on the changer install (changer kit, left trunk panel).

Has anyone done this before? Do I need am IP-BUS or AI-NET adapter or the changer plug right in?

I have a 00 323i with HK.
