I think the term "preaching" only applies on a religious behalf.

With that said, I never denied that he may have had "other" help that saved his life. It's just a fact that BMW designs their cars for maximum safety.

Theres obviously a lot of believers that dont make it in crashes. You don't see them thanking god.

With that said, I totally sympathize with him and his injuries, I know thats a LOT of pain to take and he's a strong guy for even going on here and typing with those injuries.

I dont think its the place for any type of belief really. I mean you could say scientifically with different angles and different cars there would be a different outcome but it could also be believed that for religious reasons the outcome is how it is. Either way it really does not matter what you believe. It matters that OP is alive and with the help of his friends and family that he will have a speedy recovery and I am sure I speak for all e46fanatics here when I say we are very very glad your safe and sound!

Exactly, it doesn't matter, so why not at least give credit where credit is due? The engineering and design that went into the safety features of his car.

But I should say I find it very annoying when people give credit to their deity or religion instead of where it is actually due, which in this case happens to be the design and engineering of the safety features of the e46. Of course we can't prove (or disprove) any of this, so what's the point?

Don't beat yourself up for it though, I've been there. I went over the handlebars on my bike and slid down the road on my face and stomach. Tore up everything. Everything has healed back to OEM condition though.

I used to drive fast and cowboy'ed around, but then I realized that I can't even afford bumping into someone, so now it's slow and classy, with occasional spurts of speed. Also remember, even if there is a lord, your life lies in your own hands, so please take care.

To answer some questions, I don't have a lead foot. Speed limit was 55 so I was probably between 55-60mph. I don't remember anything from the accident except having to swerve to avoid a set of headlights coming through my drivers door. And I'm confident the other driver didn't stick around to wait for the police. I'm not even sure there was a witness at all to confirm my story. But I'm finally released from the hospital, in massive amounts of pain, mostly immobile and helpless. It sucks, but thanks for all the support.

I did not get around to putting the lsx in the car, but it was in the works. Im not sure what I'll replace this car with. Maybe an M this time. Its not my first concern right now.
