e46 m3 acs sport suspension

up for sale is an acs sport suspension kit. the kit has about 3k miles on it and is mint. i believe rennsport sells the setup for $1475 and at bavauto it's even more. i would like to get $850 for the setup. that's roughly a 40% savings for you. this setup is made specifially for the convertible since it weighs about 400lbs more than the coupe. i believe the spring rate is different. if you are looking for a near stock ride with a nice drop, without the need of adjustability this is the setup for you.

here is what the car looks like with the acs suspension.

please email me at thaiddao@hotmail.com with any questions.

thanks for looking.

If you can find out how much the rear mounting plates are I am interested. How close is the ride to stock, is it bouncy at all??? Did the handling noticabley improve?

According to the specs the drop is about an 1". But it seems much lower than just an inch. I can send you more pics if you want. As far as the ride is concerned it was pretty close to stock. The ride felt softer than my friend's e46 M3 with stock suspension and 19" wheels. I have 18" so the wheels might be a factor but the ride is still nice.

I would recommend you to contact cec (www.cecwheels.com)so that this way they can tell you exactly what you need and how long it will take. I don't want you to get something that you can't use.

I have posted this up on ebay so let me know if you're interested.

Thanks,
Thai

I will call them tomorrow. So this is authentic ACS?? Where did you get it from, and why you selling? Pics would be great, can you send them to ppersian@sympatico.ca. What condition are the parts in? In you ebay add you say "take off", do you mean used by this? Thanks.

like my description says these parts are used but in excellent condition. the car was never driven in the snow or rain so the parts are pretty close to new as can be. the suspension was on the car for about 3k miles. and yes it's authentic. you can verify the part numbers when you call up cec.

i bought my car used and the previous owner had these installed shortly before he sold the car to me. so i can't really tell you how different it is from stock but like i said i have sat in my friends car with stock suspension and the ride is not as harsh.

not sure if this will help you, but i have pss9's installed right now and i would have to say that the handling is about the same. i went with the pss9's because i wanted the adjustability.

i found this thread and maybe the info may be helpful.

I emailed CEC today and hopefully they will have good news. How firm are you on the price, cause I have to see how much the spring perches are. I let you know. Thanks.

i hope they don't charge you an arm and a leg. the perches are just flat aluminum plates. nothing special to them.

make sure you verify that the parts will work too. like i said i talked to cec already but to re-confirm i would ask again.

find out the price of the perches and we'll talk.

thanks.

I emailed them today, so I should know in a few days. CEC charges an arm and a leg for everything that comes through. I asked them about the specs too, so hopefully everything works out. On ebay you said it came of a clients car???

my friend is actually posting it for me since he has more feedback than i do. he's the one that helped me take out the acs and put in the pss9's.

From my experience with gixxer Kidd, he is a stand up guy. Good luck with your sale buddy.
