How do you guys hook up mp3 players?

BMW unfortunately charges extra for the 6 cd changer and i did not end up getting it as an option.

I really wouldn't care though if I was able to find an effective way to hook up an mp3 player with a ****load of songs to the sound system. Without the tape deck in my car though, i can't use those normal kits. I got a wireless kit, (the kind where you can tune in to the radio station u choose) and the quality has been dissapointing.

Any good ideas that don't cost a lot of money?

get the auxillary input from bmw. its an oem part. it allows you to hook up an ipod, an mp3 player, or bascially anything that has a headphone jack. i think its around $40 for the aux input.

however, these will only work on the headunits that have the aux input prewired, which is from the 9/02-on production date.

you still have to pay for the installation... if you dont get it installed at the dealer, you can have it installed by any audio shop... or even do a diy.
