Dinan Long-Tube CAI

For sale is a Dinan, long tube style cold air intake. It comes with the intake, filter, and filter sock.

I purchased this for my 323 from a gentleman who had it installed on his 330i. I never used it, but it is in very good condition. I've always believed Long-tube CAI's are the only way to go, and Dinan is the best. I believe this will fit all E46s.

I purchased for $250 shipped. Will let it go for $200 plus shipping.

This is a rare intake! Dinan stopped making them and moved to the box design. I'm willing to do $200 shipped with US, but won't go lower.

Between this and the cosmos which is better?

Are you gonna be in the cbus area anytime soon? If 200 shipped I'll give you $175 cash. I have a cosmos ordered but its back ordered. If this is the same (which I'm thinking it is, but a lot better brand name) I'll take the Dinan off your hands

The MAF sizes are different between the 330i and 325i SULEV, versus the 323, 325, and 328. You would need a different coupler to fit this to a 323, 325, or 328 if this was originally for a 330.

Not backed by BMW as far as I can tell. If you come across any information saying otherwise I'd be interested to see. Dinan picks up the warranty if you have them modify your car before BMW's original warranty is up. From what I heard, there were some legal issues between BMW and Dinan after some of these long tube intakes ingested water, hydrolocking some engines at the expense of BMW NA.

Is ingesting water a common issue that I'd have to worry about? And I just thought they were since they are advertised at my local dealer all the time...

I haven't heard the specifics, but I'd just follow the common sense of not driving through standing water deep enough to completely submerge the end of the intake, haha.

I have a 330 dinan CAI on my 325. Just buy the coupler to connect your smaller 325 to the bigger 330 intake

Anyone know if these long-tube style intakes will clear the headlight on a facelift coupe with bixenon? Don't the pre-facelift cars with xenon require the ballast to be relocated?

Yep. You just get the relocation parts from a matching year E46 M3. Worked for me on my my sedan:
