It's not truly a pyramid scheme, which (technically) relies mostly on bringing in new people under you as the primary source of income. Hopefully a law firm's primary source of income, both for associates and partners, is fees paid for legal services.

I'm just leery of getting into a situation where I am required, at some point, to buy out someone else.

So my sixth and final appointment of the day called to reschedule. I was going to have to drive down to our Sacramento office for that one, then drive home right at the end of the day during rush hour. Excellent.

I'm wearing grey slacks, my blue Fitz blazer, and a blue dress shirt. I wore my gunboats today. I was going to wear a tie, then decided not to.

Today:
White RL polo
Dark denim
JCrew cap toe boots

I feel like I ought to go home and change into a polo and denim so I can fit in around here.

I am wearing a new sky blue LE polo
But this is a little too big
It is a size large + it is just LE not LE Canvas
Hopefully it will shrink some in the dryer
LEC Blue dyed chinos
LEC Blue and white canvas shoes

Decked out in land's end stuff and wearing 3 different shades of blue

AT&T blows in Chicago. On the flip side, it works great here in St. Louis.

AT&T is the WORST in downtown Chicago. What's really frustrating is that my work phone is AT&T as well. There will be times when both phones say full bars and 4G (iPhone) and 3G (BlackBerry). Yet somehow the iPhone can't make calls, send texts, or load web pages...while the BlackBerry can make calls just fine.

Maybe it's the iphone, not at&t...

I was amazed at what terrible service my wife and daughter had on their phones when they were in NYC. We have AT&T and around here the service is quite good. But while they were in NYC I don't think we ever managed to complete a conversation without the call being dropped halfway through. I would have expected better coverage in such a major city.

So today I had my initial phone call with the headhunter. I thought it went pretty well. She said she would be calling me early next week to see about scheduling a time to come up to meet.

So now I'm starting to freak out a bit. I know which firm it is now and where they are. It would be a major change for me.
