How do I refit interior Door Handle Cable? BMW325Ci 2002

Hi,

I have had the usual BMW door latch problem with the exterior handle cable pulling out of place, so thanks to this forum, i have now fixed it, however the question is now HOW DO I FIT THE interior door latch cable back into the handle?

DO i need a special tool to try and pull the T shaped end of cable into the door handle fixture? Im hvaing a nightmare, any help would be great. It came off easy enough but can't refit.

iirc the cable just slips into the handle.
i think you just have to move the handle to the correct angle and then slip the cable in.

Hi Snikwad,

The cable doesnt seem long enough, seems like it has to be pulled somehow to extend it so that it can be pulled into place into the catch bit of the handle, however no space for tools etc.
I can push the white lact cover piece back into place but cant align the cable into the door latch...... ahhhhhhh

Cable is just the right length. Make sure you have all the play out and that the door card is in the right spot.

The cable will JUST fit if you have the door panel as close to the door frame as possible and still can put your hand in between to connect the white clip. The chrome handle lays flat as in when the door is close. The white clip slides in the front first and then the back snaps down. Once the back snaps in, you can pull the chrome handle to test it. Then slide the door lock thru the door panel and align the door panel clips in the bottom holes, snap in the bottom clips and work your way around the sides and then the top.
