Where are these proclaimed "original BMW bumper replica supplier" made bumpers from? Where are they from please

Also I don't see how your $119.99 for the E46 M-Tech bumper is the same as your computer example. You can buy the computer without Options for the base or Standard price listed. In this case, there is NO standard/base price $119.99 E46 M-tech bumper, unless I'm wrong?? Only a base or lowest priced one of $154.99 for sedan and a Option then of an extra $15 for the Coupe. Here is the definition of OPTION from the dictionary: an item of equipment or a feature that may be chosen as an addition to or replacement for standard equipment and features

(sponsors have keywords that when posted alert you to the thread, so Yes you absolutely know about this thread)
and a daily bump to get this answered by Umnitza

I know both companies have a weight limit, but there is no way the bumper exceeds this limit and weighs more than the heavy boxes of tile and stone I ship nation wide. Can't be size either, I deal with very large boxes all the time too.

This has been the main reason I have never bought a bumper from you guys. I'm not going to pay for shipping then have to drive 3 hours round trip to pick it up.
This is a very lengthy discussion. Fedex and UPS account holders do not always get charged "actual" quotes, we often get charged additional fees that are not evident until 2 weeks later when the charge hits the account.

Furthermore, F/U (as we like to call them) do not give you quotes based on weight, they give you quotes based on dimensions. Dimensional weight has some funky algebraic nonsense calculates that basically means "we're going to screw you if it doesn't look like a 16x16x16 cube that we can pile 3000 of in a truck.

Bumpers get set up as 150-175 lbs normally, at that DIM, the cost of shipping a bumper 60 miles from our office is $55-75, the cost of shipping that same bumper 3000 miles away is $140-200, and international shipments are more.

This is why we use a new Freight company for bumpers.
$60 flat rate GPX
$95 for door to door
$105 for door to door residence

Now, GPX offers door to door delivery at most of their locations. This is a $15-25 charge.

USPS Oversized Shipping will accept a bumper only if it's as big as the E46 M3 Bumper. They no longer accept any other bumpers. They went to a dimensional shipping model in 2009 more firmly, and have rejected many bumpers that are "oversized" by as little as 1".

Finally, CT offers a LOT of stations for such a small state:
Bridgeport
Hartford
Hartford Express
New Haven
Stamford

Unless of course you live out in the boonies somewhere near the MA and NY corners. In which case, there may be a closer station in MA and/or NY for you to get to.

Greyhound calls you when it arrives, you have 3-5 days to get it, and they don't charge storage fees and just let the product sit there.

Actually in our raw calculations, 95% of the country lives within 20 minutes of a Greyhound station (work or home).

Sorry you feel that way, we've had some miscommunication with GPX, but proportionally to how many bumpers we ship with them, it's no worse or better than F/U companies.

What's the difference if you don't specify sedan or coupe?
Mtech II Sedan and Coupe bumpers can fit any and all E46s, some bracket changes may be required but a sedan can fit a coupe and vice versa.

It's a bit weird that you can actually choose a "generic" Mtech II bumper without choosing coupe or sedan, but that's a software glitch that we'll have to figure out a way to fix. To date, no one has simply chosen an Mtech II without choosing the radio button for either sedan or coupe. The reason we have the price set at 119 is simply to allow people to choose which bumper they want on one page. A lot of customers want coupe bumpers for their sedans, this is one landing page for them.

Let us know if that makes sense, send us an email - info@umnitza.com if you have further questions.

Based on internal part numbers the brackets are literally identical for Mtech I and II bumpers.

The P/N are the same for the carrier as well. So there is no obvious reason for you not to be able to install onto an Mtech I bumper support.

However, I may be purchasing headlights from Umnitza in the future.
Also, @ Umnitza, does that "umnitza carbon fiber lip spoiler" fit an aftermarket M3 front bumper on an E46 sedan?
We look forward to your business for headlights.

umnitza carbon fiber lip spoiler is for a trunk, not a front bumper.

Our bumper lips are only for E46 M3 Style bumpers.

Several points in summary:
1) No notifications on this thread via email. You're right about some keywords that we search for but we don't often get to the forum during business hours easily - especially recently unfortunately.

2) The base price + options is explained above.

3) Our bumpers are made in Taiwan. Bad bumper reps are made in China. We do not give out the exact supplier or company that we use. Also, one of our suppliers has requested we not give out their name so they don't get inundated with retail inquiries. Quality reps like those from taiwan are made with PolyPropylene and/or ABS. We do not have direct information on the type of polymers used by Chinese based reps of reps, however their quality of plastics is significantly lower based on feel only (visited the factory once).

If you need further clarification, please feel free to email us.

Mtech II bumpers are OE fit.
M3 E46 Reps require a little more work to make them OE fit.

I've never had large items shipped before I bought a bumper from Ümnitza. Googled the nearest greyhound (10mins away), ordered the bumper, and three days later went and picked it up. Got it painted, and fits like a charm.

Bumpers can fit any car, unless it's a big bumper jumble.

GPX = $60 for 1 bumper or 6 bumpers. If you buy a full kit, it's still $60. 1 hour of driving = $20 in gas maximum, seems worth it.

yeah and when i bought the rear bumper from you guys they didnt even ship it door to door. i still had to go to greyhound. whats up with that?

the rear bumper barely fit in my car and i had the hardest time driving one hour back home in the dark, not being able to see my passenger side mirror or my rear view mirror.

and how do i get them to provide this shipment door to door? is it through you guys or them? as in who needs to contact who. you need some instructions on how to get greyhound to ship door to door or we are left guessing.

as a marketing specialist by day and fanatic by night, i see a lack of expertise in this field with you guys. just a suggestion, improve your shipping options so you guys can maximize profit.

Each station is a little different, but most of them now offer door to door

the rear bumper barely fit in my car and i had the hardest time driving one hour back home in the dark, not being able to see my passenger side mirror or my rear view mirror.
no fold downs? usually if you can lower the front seat backrest the bumpers fit well, but with a fold down, it's easier.

and how do i get them to provide this shipment door to door? is it through you guys or them? as in who needs to contact who. you need some instructions on how to get greyhound to ship door to door or we are left guessing.
Through them. You call your local station, get them to deliver it. We could contact for you but we don't know your own hours etc. We also offer door to door freight now directly using a different freight company, more expensive, but still door to door or even door to airport.

as a marketing specialist by day and fanatic by night, i see a lack of expertise in this field with you guys. just a suggestion, improve your shipping options so you guys can maximize profit.
Thanks for the tip, we actually listened to a few people say this and now on our site, we offer 4 different shipping options for the bumpers.

My Ride: 04' BMW 330Ci (vert)
Man, I haven't seen this thread before I ordered my M3 front and MtechII rear bumpers and fog light inserts from Umnitza. I would have definitely thought about it twice. But glad I didn't as I would've missed out on such great pricing. I paid $470 for M3 front, fog lights and MtechII bumpers including shipping. Not that I have seen the end result yet since my car has been in the body shop for the last 3 weeks, but hoping to get it by this Friday and then I can let you guys know how the bumpers fit on my 2004 330ci vert.
According to my body shop, which was recommended by Motorwerks here in Minneapolis, the bumpers were of high quality and no modification is needed. And Tim from Umnitza was also good with customer service and promised to throw in some LEDs for the license plates. I am not sure if those were sent since I haven't picked up the package….my body shop actually sent a guy with a truck to grab it from Grey Hound bus depot in DT Minneapolis.
Shipping cost for both bumpers was $60, which is cheap if you ask me. People who are whining about Fedex and UPS should know that 2 bumpers would cost you at least $200 or more to your residence. And if you are not home then you'd have to go and pick it up from their hub anyway.
The only thing that didn't quite work out with Umnitza is the delivery time on the fog lights that I ordered. Placed the order on Thursday afternoon and still haven't received it till today, Wednesday, which is an issue as the body shop was supposed to paint everything together and now they can't. I am not sure who dropped the ball, Umnitza or USPS….will figure it out soon.
Someone talked about Khoalty. I ordered CSL CF splitters from them on Thursday and have not received them either. UPS says it will be delivered EOD Friday; don't know why it would take that long.
Anyways, I will give you guys my update on the fitment and the quality of Umnitza bumpers once I get the car back…..cannot wait.
