Try the rice drying method first. If not take it in to the Apple store - it should still have the 1 year warranty. Sometimes they'll replace even water damaged laptops. Depends on who you get. Check google for a lot of stories/hints about getting a wet macbook replaced for free.

Worst case scenario. get a warranty from SquareTrade and get the spill protection. it may not be cheap, but could be cheaper than a non-covered repair from Apple.

next time use one of these

The last time I checked a keyboard cost around $100-250. If you can find a computer repair shop that specializes in Macs, they can put one in cheap. Once everything dries out, see if it will work. Then go to the Apple store, and have them check it out. When they tell you what it is, then fix it there or buy the parts and fix it yourself.

don't put it in a bag of rice... the rice will get stuck under the keys.
pull out the battery, hang the laptop face down propped on top of books. (so there's no weight on the screen/hinge)
set up a fan to blow air through.

leave overnight. if you're lucky all the moisture will have dried out and the keyboard will function properly.
