CD Changer skipping

My CD changer was replaced for free today and I noticed it skips a lot more than the old one over bumps and stuff. Is there something maybe they forgot to do? If not, is there a pad some of you use to absorb vibration? My old one was definitely not as bad though.

Take it back!!!

How come we always have to take our cars back??? Don't they test their work bfore they give us back our cars???

On the side of most changers there are damper screws. Try to find them. Inside the changer where the cds go. It show bounce around but not to much and do not tighten it up, it trial and error, hope this helps

Is it in the trunk or glovebox? I would imagine it would skip less in the glovebox. That's where I'll put mine when the one in my trunk finally gives. I hate it in the winter... I guess when it's really cold, the antiskip doesn't work as well, and it skips like crazy. I'd rather have it in the glove box where the cabin is heated, and more convienient to change CDS.

I don't know about any damper screws... I still say take it back and have it checked out.
