Hello guys and gals,
As some of you know, I recently did a lot of DIY work on my car as well, which included upgrading the struts to Koni (Yellows), the springs to Eibach lowering springs, and the OEM brakes to the Rotora BBK. And I would like to apologize to Rotora for the delay; took me some time to get the lift installed in my parent's house, plus I had a death in the family. But without further ado, here is my DIY write up for the Rotora BBK on my 2006 330Ci. I wanted to go ahead a post a DIY specifically on the Rotora BBK since it does take some work to make everything fit properly and figured everyone could benefit if someone decides to go the Rotora route. Step by Step process (2006 BMW 330Ci - 355mm BBK): Rear Brakes Step 1 **Cut the dust shields, so that the new rotors fit. ![]() DSC_0976 by Center SpotLight Media (SoloEuro), on Flickr ![]() DSC_0978 by Center SpotLight Media (SoloEuro), on Flickr **Brake dust shield cut and removed ![]() DSC_0975 by Center SpotLight Media (SoloEuro), on Flickr Step 2 **Place the rotors. ![]() DSC_0979 by Center SpotLight Media (SoloEuro), on Flickr Step 3 **Tighten the rotors with OEM screw. Socket wrench. ![]() DSC_0980 by Center SpotLight Media (SoloEuro), on Flickr ** New Calipers ![]() DSC_0982 by Center SpotLight Media (SoloEuro), on Flickr Step 4 **Place the new stainless steal brake lines back where the old ones attached. ![]() DSC_0983 by Center SpotLight Media (SoloEuro), on Flickr Step 5 **Place and tighten caliper bolts. Use OEM bolts. ![]() DSC_0985 by Center SpotLight Media (SoloEuro), on Flickr Step 6 **Place loctite onto the end of the brake lines to secure it. ![]() DSC_0984 by Center SpotLight Media (SoloEuro), on Flickr Step 7 **Tighten the brake lines into the calipers. 13mm wrench. ![]() DSC_0987 by Center SpotLight Media (SoloEuro), on Flickr Step 8 **Place new brake lines up to the old hook-up. ![]() DSC_0989 by Center SpotLight Media (SoloEuro), on Flickr Step 9 **Tighten the brake lines into the old hook-up. 11mm wrench. ![]() DSC_0990 by Center SpotLight Media (SoloEuro), on Flickr Step 10 **Remove brake pad sensor and then cut. ![]() DSC_0992 by Center SpotLight Media (SoloEuro), on Flickr Step 11 **Strip the wires and then twist the end of the brake pad sensor wires. Then wrap the end with electrical tape. (This will make sure no error codes show.) Place brake bad sensor back in original spot, and make sure it does not hang. Secure it. ![]() DSC_0994 by Center SpotLight Media (SoloEuro), on Flickr Front Brakes Step 1 **Cut the dust shields, so that the new rotors fit. Same as the back brakes, although I only cut the lower half. Step 2 **Place the rotors. Step 3 **Tighten the rotors with OEM screw. Socket wrench. ![]() DSC_0999 by Center SpotLight Media (SoloEuro), on Flickr Step 4 **Place and tighten caliper bolts. Use OEM bolts. ![]() DSC_0995 by Center SpotLight Media (SoloEuro), on Flickr ![]() DSC_0998 by Center SpotLight Media (SoloEuro), on Flickr Step 5 **Tighten the brake lines into the calipers. 13mm wrench. ![]() DSC_1003 by Center SpotLight Media (SoloEuro), on Flickr Step 6 **Place the new stainless steal brake lines back where the old ones attached. ![]() DSC_1002 by Center SpotLight Media (SoloEuro), on Flickr Step 7 **Place new brake lines up to the old hook-up. Then wrap the end with electrical tape. (This will make sure no error codes show.) Place brake bad sensor back in original spot, and make sure it does not hang. Secure it. ![]() DSC_1009 by Center SpotLight Media (SoloEuro), on Flickr Final product. ![]() ![]() DSC_1010 by Center SpotLight Media (SoloEuro), on Flickr Final product with wheels on. * for clearance between calipers and spokes of the wheels, I used H&R 12mm hubcentric spacers for the front, and H&R 15mm humbcentric spacers for the rear. ![]() DSC_1043 by Center SpotLight Media (SoloEuro), on Flickr ![]() DSC_1044 by Center SpotLight Media (SoloEuro), on Flickr Last but not least, I bled the brakes using DOT 4 brake fluid and the power bleeder from ECS. I want to thank Chase (2000 328Ci) for hooking me up with Rotora, as well as Loren from Rotora, who helped me get everything ordered, shipped, and squared away! ![]() Thanks for Looking!

So once u cut the pad sensor, and twist the wires together no code?
That's it? Do you have to cut/remove off the OE dust shield to fit or could u have only cut a part of it? What size rims are u rocking? Great write up BTW?

...and yes you do. For the backs, you have to cut the whole shield off, but for the fronts, you can just cut off the bottom half. 18" CSLs Thank you!

Thank you! Thanks buddy! Love your car too, very unique! Thank you, John! **update. Just took it out (after not driving it for a month. ) to break in the new brakes and I must say, they were very easy to break in and they work fantastic! I will post more shots, including full side shots once I get the new tires on, fenders rolled and get it washed! ![]() Stay tuned!

Thanks, buddy!
Update: Waiting on my Carbon Fiber CSL trunk to arrive from ECS tuning... ![]() ...in the meantime, decided to take a few shots after I was done working on my dad's car for the day. Plus, I wanted to try out my new lens that I picked up a couple of weeks ago. haha I promise not to over-do the bokah next go-round, but my primary purpose to get this lens was to get that great natural background blur with the sharpness where I wanted it instead of having to do so in Photoshop. Enjoy! ...I'll post more when I install my CSL bootlid! ![]() ![]() BMW 330Ci & BMW M5 by Center SpotLight Media (SoloEuro), on Flickr ![]() Rotora BBK by Center SpotLight Media (SoloEuro), on Flickr ![]() BMW 330Ci w/ Rotora BBK by Center SpotLight Media (SoloEuro), on Flickr ![]() Red Hot Stopping Power. by Center SpotLight Media (SoloEuro), on Flickr ![]() Like a Boss. by Center SpotLight Media (SoloEuro), on Flickr ![]() ///M = More Power, More Fun! by Center SpotLight Media (SoloEuro), on Flickr ![]() BMW 330Ci in the shadows by Center SpotLight Media (SoloEuro), on Flickr

Well, this will probably be my last mod for a bit. It's been a fun modding season and did a lot of stuff this year.
Here's the recently installed Carbon Fiber M3 GTR style hood w/ vents. ![]() e46 330Ci w/ CF GTR Style Hood by Center SpotLight Media (SoloEuro), on Flickr ![]() Rotora BBK w/ new CF M3 GTR Style Hood by Center SpotLight Media (SoloEuro), on Flickr Next up when I get more cash: - M3 front bumper w/ 1 piece CSL lip - M-Tech II rear bumper - M3 Mirrors (Maybe, only if I find nice OEM ones) - Repaint whole car - Exhaust (most likely going quads on the outer most part of the rear bumper. Unlike the M3 middle setup) Enjoy! Thank you for looking!
