If you are so helpless that you cant type 2 words in Google search , pick up the phone and call BMW dealer.

If you can still type , try this "e46 diff"

330Xi's are coming up as a different diff from other 3.46 e46's when i call every salvage yard, bmrparts etc. Was trying to get a little help from people familiar with these cars.
Guess i should get used to the snootiness of bmw owners.
Anyway before it gets ugly I'm trying a NON-interchangable 3.46 tomorrow so i will update if it works.

No, you should get used to searching

How difficult was it to type 2 words in Google? Not hard at all. First link right there shows that 330xi has 3.38 diff.

No need to try anything , this is not 2001 we all know that it works. All you need to do is to swap the input as well as output shafts from your old diff.

330s are the only cars that have 330 specific Input as well as Output flange. Also for your AWD system its not recommended swapping rear dff with a different ratio if you wish to keep your transfer case for much longer

Hold the fvck up, a 330xi auto has a 3.46. The info on the web is wrong! manuals use a 3.07. This guy is 100% in the right on this one. Good question OP! If this guy bought a 3.38 he would be out some $$$. If you don't know from first hand exp, don't spew trash that has been repeated. To add more info to this topic. The XI shares the same input flange from most carriers. It's a 4 bolt pattern on the 330xi's not a 6 bolt as the regular 330i's have. The 330xi out put shafts are not the same as a 330i.
