Just when i had everything ready and made the contacts on assembly of the Rieger/FOX rear exhaust i decided to pospone this mod. I just can't justify paying that much $ when i face to lose my job. It just seemes that i'm never gonna finish this project at this rate
Sad to hear that Bro! Just dont give up. Im in the same boat right now, Pretty much working on my own, so mods will have to wait a bit. Your car is looking sweet, better than average. I would be super happy with the look you're rocking right now.

I am happy with how the front of the car looks. It's the rear that bothers me more and more everytime i see it. Maybe if i get a nice bonus when i need to leave and find a new job fast enough i'm still going forward on ordering the exhaust. I just want to get that rear fixed and i don't want to wait another year to do this. Once i get that done i can go forward with the interior

Finally an update again, after weeks of talking with Rieger and my suplier the exhaust finally arrived form FOX exhaust systems. They custom made it for me. It's a complete stainless steel system and was delivered with all the nescesary parts to mount the muffler.
Now i'm the only one in the world with a 318i with this exhaust

Sorry for the i-phone pics i will take better ones soon

Thanks D, we are not giving up yet. We're not letting go of our jobs that easily, we will keep fighting till the end. We already won the first battle, we now know the want to close the entyre factory by the end of 2015 and our employer now wants to work towards a solution for the complete population now if we want to work on a plan to move by the end of 2015.
In Belgium it's lot easier to take action with the unions, in holland we are restricted with rules and law

This weekend the FOX exhaust is going to be installed. In preperation of the install i started today with cutting the support struts out of the M-techII rearbumper to make room for the exhaust tips.

The parts that needed to go

Fortune isn't on my side this year. After suffering with back problems wich are now over after multiple visits to the chiropractor, i am now suffering of a haemorrhage in my balls after having done a vasectomy (sterilisation). This is probably goning to take another 4 to 6 weeks to heal. On the bright side in a few weeks time i can again enjoy sex as it was meant to, without a condom

Stay tuned for more updates this weekend on the install

Finally we got the exhaust installed, it wasn't a easy job. We had to make custom brackets and re-align brackets to get it in place. A lot of cursing was done during the works. Eventualy we got it done. The difussor is aligned as well, this will take some time before i get that finished, i still need to fix it tight, then molding, sanding and sanding and in the end get it painted.

The pics,
First we need to put the car in the garage, we had very little clearance with the front when the car was on the bridges

We need a saw and a bumper

30 seconds later

10 minutes later

Because the diameter of the pipes was bigger the the OEM exhaust we made a piece to make it fit

First testfit of the complete system, al lot needs to be done. Fitment is far from perfect

Heating up the pipes to bend them, do some welding and grinding

The end result of our hard labour

Off course we took it for a drive afterwe where finished. It doesn't make a hard growl when you put your foot down and that is exsactly what i wanted, the looks where more important then the sound. It does make a nice roar between 3500 en 4000 RPM

Just made a short film of the sound, i will make a better and longer one soon

I need to take care of my exhaust first. But holy bro. That looks superb! Really love how aggressive, but clean it is.

rear add-on is now glued in place with a 2K epoxy glue and finished with windowkit. Everything has to dry now and harden before we can go further.

As you can see the Rieger add-on still nees some trimming to flow nicely with the bumper. Bumper will not be touched now for a couple of days to give the epoxy and kit time to harden. Then the real fun is going to start
