I've grown a soft spot for one E36 lately; an Avus blue E36 M3 coupe with BBS RG-Rs in diamond black metallic. Nom nom.

Oddly enough it was the E36 M3 coupe that turned me on to BMWs. Now I'm having a really difficult time trying to like them.

I felt it would be weird to take a picture of the guy's car after talking to him as he was cleaning his garage.

It was metallic silver, and had a deep blue velour interior, and black dash.

I will buy a pretty bike and just stare at it, and occasionally drive it to my dad's or friends' houses.

Non-dull/oxidized Dakar Yellow M3 Sedan got me moist for bimmers initially. But I still wouldn't want one these days.

That car is ridiculous. Original paint, original interior, original wheels, etc... The only thing modified was the radio. The chrome trim pieces were like mirrors, and the interior showed not even a bit of wear. The car only has 68,000 miles on it, and seems to be perfect running condition. The owner daily drives the car as well.
That's pretty sweet.

-Serviceability of the engine was crap, as Kalim can confirm.
-The engine bay aesthetically looks horrible because every area is just filled with hoses, wires, or plastic.
-The sheet metal in the engine bay is full of various unused mounting holes and brackets.
-Everything is needlessly complex and expensive.
All of the above.
