Question about the 318i E46? Help would be nice.

I might be purchasing a BMW 318i e46 shortly. The people selling it to me is a special company that takes different cars, reconditions them, checks them and replaces parts that are not up to their standards. They have a bmw 318i 2005 on sale which has only 19,000 km on the clock. Looks in great shape and all and they are selling it for 12,000 euro. I was wondering if the BMW e46 is a reliable car, as I am only a student and would not like to take out big money for repairs and maintenance. I was wondering when big problems will start to show up in terms of mileage. I have heard stuff about automatic transmission failures, coolant leaks, radiator problems and gaskets. Does all thta happen even in low mileage? or will it take some riding to get to that point? Also, the car has a BMW minidisc player, which is pretty out of date, so I was wondering if the new bmw bluetooth devices could be integrated into the car?
