Dialectic Silicon Gel on Plugs

Maybe you can help me.
I am changing plugs and as always, use anti-seize on the treads.

I am planning to also use dialectic silicon gel on the plugs and wires. My understanding is that you put it only on the porcelain (white) part of the plugs. Also on the wires boot. Do you do only the very end (outer edge) of the boot, or do you also lubricate the inside of the boot (that cover the plug).

Thanks--
