Starting off right

This maybe a newbie question, but I've always drove my bummers manually. I just put a stage 2 Bavarian clutch kit on my e46 and for some reason I'm having a lot of problems getting use to the take off. Sometimes I start off smooth, sometimes I jerk and other times I just straight kill it. Anyone have any pointers for the smoothest take off? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. I've been driving manually for years now, but feel like a noob with this clutch.

Stage II clutches are like that. It will take you a while to get used to it. Why did you put one in your e46?

Because my original clutch burnt out, so I upgraded so it would last longer. Plus im thinkin about adding a lot of performance upgrades to it. I know a lot of people think its a waste of money to dump into it when I could just spend the money on a better car, but I really love this car and to me it's worth the money.

It's not worth the money. If you want a fast e46, get an m3. Otherwise, you're looking at tons of work, time, money, and depreciation.

Honestly I'm not looking at selling this car, so depreciation value isn't really a factor for me. Plus an m3 is in the plan or the near future, so this is basically going to be a nice daily driver. I've been wanting this car for about 10 years now. I've owned 2 e30's and a sweet e90, but this is by far my favorite car. When I first saw this car 10 years ago I feel in love and finally found one exactly like it back in January. So basically this is kinda like my white elephant.

Daily driver does not = stage II clutch and tons of HP mods. Especially if you plan to buy an m3. Just my opinion tho.

No youre cool. I appreciate your opinion. I'm not doing a lot to it. The clutch was needed, so I just thought I'd invest a little more for the upgrade clutch. I'm not planning on going crazy with it. I have 19" rims with a 4" lip in the front and a 8" lip in the back. The car looks mean. Just want to add a few more things then I'll be happy

Do you still have your Clutch Delay Valve? If not, removing it could help things out.

Not sure. Guess that's something I'm goin to have to ask my mechanic.

If you can change your oil you can remove your CDV.
