so i havent been able to find anything that says this is possible through coding... was wondering if anybody has tried a relay between the door lock/unlock button in the center console and the shifter... so when you put car in park it will trigger relay to throw unlock???

How do you disable auto-lock? The options seem to be "terminal R" (when you go through reverse?) or various speeds, but not disable. |

Not sure actually.....I had mine done a couple of years ago at an indy shop. I seem to remember that it can be done with this software though. Maybe someone else will be able to answer your question here.

You can get live data from the DME module, just double click on it and you'll see a "Live Data" button on the left column. No VANOS test afaik, but it will tell you if its engaged, ready, etc. |

I started to code some stuff on my 02 m3 the other day and it asked me to save a copy before I recode. I read the LCM, and thought I saved it, but it gave the warning again. Where do I need to save the copy to?

I hope someone can help me out, so I'm gonna pick everyone's brains for a second.
![]() My car has the factory xenons with automatic vertical aim. It has a bad front sensor (more like broken pivot arm), so I disconnected it, aimed them how I like them ... it still does the sweep when I turn them on, but honestly how much can it know what the hell to adjust when all it's reading off is the rear. Anyway, I went to disable the feature, and as soon as I uncheck "automatic" or "vertical headlight control" in LCM recoding, the checkbox to the left where it says "xenons" gets unchecked. Is this a problem? I am scared to actually recode fearing I might wreak havoc on the LCM given the car actually has xenons and I am effectively turning the feature off ... can anyone shed some light on the situation?

Wow, after scanning 39 pages of this thread I forgot what I was looking for..
I got my top up/down with the key, played with some light settings, and lock settings. I thought I wanted the auto lock at a certain speed but I don't like having to double pull the handle to get out. Is there a setting to auto unlock with turning the key off or something? |

Did you get this figured out? I was scanning the thread and didn't see a direct answer. I've got mine working and am getting ready to take some screen shots of how I've got it set. Let me know if you still need it.

Where do I find the light settings?
All I have is a bunch of crap about my alarm and locks. Quote:
I want to change it so my locks unlock when I turn off my car. And also so that all my door locks lock and unlock with one button press.

The light settings are under LCM-Light Check Module.
Locks, etc are under ZKE, which it sounds like you found. Some cars have different screens, my 04 M3 Vert looks like this. ![]() Daytime running light US turns on the round lights (not sure exactly what they're called) anytime the key is on. Daytime running light turn sign. turns on the corners when the key is on. I think I'm actually going to disable both of these when I put angel eyes on. I played with some of the other settings but most didn't seem to do anything. ![]() I had to play with the lock settings but set up like this I have all locks locking and unlocking with 1 press, and auto locking at 28 km/h. The 1 touch locking is the settings that are "Entr. aid". The One-touch functions settings let me put the top up and down from the remote. I may have some extra stuff checked that I don't need but through playing with different settings I've got what I wanted. I haven't found a way to unlock when turning the car off yet. Not sure it's possible on these cars at this point. |

i am always annoyed by having to press the unlock button to open the back doors and the boot, or pulling the lever twice to open the door. Is there any way to use pasoft to unlock the car when putting in park, or turning off the engine? Or can the auto-locking be disabled?

Great thread and kudos to OP and all other contributors.
I've just spent 2 days reading through 40 pages in this thread before even plugging in my scanner.... only to find a problem, the same as boongsin12 posted below. Appreciate some help with 2 issues... 1. My scanner seems to read everything except for the DME and some other modules (which are essential!). My key is in position 1 and I have also tried position 2. 2. In order to access the EWS do I need to erase and unlock it? By doing this will it mean that I can successfully code to the EWS? I know this must seem elementary to you all - I would rather ask than make a mistake on this ![]() Please see attached pics for more info.... thanks! Quote:
