I'm literally camping in Kalim's driveway right now.

Kind of fun.

Helped mr cyberkaa install a BBS-McGard lug nut and a stud conversion.

Thoughts:
-Thread engagement is minimal, and to me is worrisome. There are only about 5-6 threads of engagement per wheel nut, which is shorter than the width of the stud or only about 7.5-9mm of engagement. I would certainly want longer studs, both for greater thread engagement, as well as easier installation of the lug nuts. Having studs that are barely long enough and recessed bolt holes in your wheels make it near impossible to start threading lugs by hand.
-The McGard spline drive key tool to remove the lug nuts is too thin for use with impact tools, so inconvenient if you want to quickly and easily remove wheels with an impact gun.
-Certainly very pretty lug nuts though, which are threaded almost the entire length so they can cover quite a bit of stud stick out. I'd definitely consider them for a show or street car. Definitely wouldn't for a track only car.

So he must've thought you knew a lot about that, huh? I really need to read much less fanatics! There are things I've learned I wish I could unlearn.

Anyway, I'm pretty easy about how you all want to spend your time...I just hope it's with human...though there are probably 12 good reasons why being with animals is much easier.

Wes, I notice you're globetrotting lately. How's all this world travel going? Did you find what you're looking for yet?

Helped DJ Ramin get his replacement engine back in yesterday. Everything went smoothly for the most part, other than an oversight of not swapping the post-cat oxygen sensors from the old engine to the new engine, which is required since the cars had different ECUs and differently keyed oxygen sensor connectors. Now it will be much harder to replace them with the engine in the car. Cyberkaa should be over there helping finish up the engine later, and hopefully it will start today. This is the engine out of cyberkaa's 325i, with only like 55k miles and it seems to be in pretty good shape.

Shoulda took pictures, but started on an E30 quick fix and sell. The amount of work done today was pretty impressive and the car already looks significantly better. It's almost making me consider doing a more thorough and elaborate E30 "restoration." The main goal with this E30 is really just to put only work and time into this car, and make it look as nice as possible. It'll be a great value for the parts for the price it's going to be listed at, but it just needs to be made nice enough looking so it won't just look like an abandoned car, which it essentially was.
