I like them as a shoe in a fairly large rotation.

Church today:

Tan poplin BB Fitz suit
White OCBD
Periwinkle BB tie
AE shoes and belt

Decided against the Quoddy boat shoes and went with these. Rancourt unlined on Vibram Christy sole. I know the sole is not for everybody, but they work for what I want.

Also, got them for over half off

This soon to be misses bought me 2 pairs of Hugo Boss jeans and 1 pair of Armani's

I wear them often enough. The three pairs are designed to retire by current selection. The AJ's are for those times when you need a nice pair of jeans to go out for dinner or to a social event. The material reminds me more of a dress slack than rough denim. The hugo's are more general wear. One is a very soft denim material and the other is a lighter almost stretchier denim.

She decided to get them for me because she didn't want to see me get another pair of Guess jeans from an outlet mall . I', not the type to spend more than $50 on a pair of jeans.

She has very good taste in fashion. So I let her dress me.

From what I have seen when shipping for jeans, they were just whatever for the money
I was actually more impressed by guess jeans that were like $90
But I didn't want to pay that much for jeans
Don't have any experience with Armani jeans to say anything

Will do. I don't think it's technically grenadine--I think it's more like a knit tie. But I will let you know once I have it in hand.

Just got a list of seconds in my size from AE.....might potentially be picking up a pair of chocolate calf Daltons. They have a few cordovan models but I need to search and see what they look like.

So I already hate my ****ing jeans. They said no tumble dry... for all three. So I washed them twice and let them air dry on a drying rack. And now they don't feel as soft. Can I get away with tumble dry (no heat) and throw in a fabric softener sheet?

Wear them for 30 minutes and they'll soften up.

Don't ever try raw denim. You'd hate it.

I just bought a pair of Levis shrink-to-fit jeans. I bought them true-to-size with the intention of wearing them raw. I love how stiff and crinkly they are. I plan to wear them for a year or so and then wash them once they are totally broken in.

Why would you care? They look and fit nicely. How much they cost is irrelevant for us.
