So I've had the coils on for a week and have driven about 2 thousand miles with mixed highway and city driving. I am coming from Eibach pro Kit springs with stock sport shocks with 70 thousand miles on them(they were not blown when uninstalled)
Here is when i first got the coils ![]() ![]() Close up of the welds ![]() During install ![]() ![]() After ![]() ![]() Now my opinion- In my experience the ride stiffness is comparable to St Coilovers, and yes I have ridden in cars with both. I was worried that the rear of the car would become bouncy as with racelands, but I have not experiences any bounciness. The car feels stiff and planted. I have experienced some Low speed knocking sound fro the front with the coils on the lowest setting due to the helper spring not being compressed enough. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and I will not be returning the coils

What did you put them on bro? Im looking into coilovers myself. Just trying to see what will last...just want the adjustability of coilovers for my daily driver since im going to put larger wheels and different setups.

Im sure you can go lower, this ride height looks somewhat similar to my H&R racing spring setup on stock shocks that I had. Anyway its about time someone made some good coils for just street use that are actually affordable.

Did you use camber plates. I'm thinking I'm going to set mine just a bit lower than the stock setting ( factory sport) perhaps .7-.5 f/r.

E46 should get able to achieve a max lowering height of 2.8" front and 2" rear.

I just finished installing mine and when i came back to this thread i noticed OP's fronts were opposite of mine. And i barley even got a drop on the front.
My helper spring is on top and OP's is on the bottom. Whats up with that?

The strut is all the way in the clamp. I think I'll have to take the helper spring out.

The helper spring should be on the top.

It doesn't matter but we recommend on the top. I had him call me for his concern that's all.

Well I'm kind of upset that my set was shipped with the helper springs on the bottom with no mention on their correct position. Now I would have to take apart the whole front suspension to fix it
