Black roof. Yay or nay?

I have an Imola Red ZHP sedan w/o a sunroof and I've been thinking of getting my roof wrapped in gloss black. I have 15% tint all around and black kidney grilles so I think it might look nice together. One member on here has a setup similar to mine and his black roof looks great but he also has black wheels so I don't know if it would look out of place on my car. Also how much should it cost me to get it done professionally?

I'm not such a fan of the black roof on sedans. It looks like it's trying to be a CSL which bmw only did CF roof panels on M coupes. But it would look best with no sunroof like you have. I guess you can try it, and take it off it you don't like.

But then again I don't like black roofs or even cf look vinyl, only the real deal.

(which is possibly my next project, oem csl roof)

Yes a black roof would look nice IMO. Wrapping costs vary greatly, I'd guess within the $100 - $300 range to get it done professionally. Have you considered wrapping it in carbon fiber or even getting a custom carbon fiber roof?

On red, I am not sure. Not enough contrast.

I like how black roofs look, i see a Ton of 07 and up E class sedans with them and look super sharp especially on white but it needs to be a high gloss not flat black... the high gloss flows with the windshield and rear glass, and if you did have a moon roof it would flow with that too.. just sayin.

Thanks guys! I know a lot of people aren't a fan of it, I really like the look but I'm just not sure if it'll look out of place on a sedan with stock wheels. I have angel eyes in the mail and i'm slammed so it's not totally stock. But I just don't know if it'll look over the top. I've also seen those E classes and I think they look amazing with the roof! I may just go into a shop somewhere and get a quote. if i don't like it i can always take it off i guess

I did consider a cf wrap but I think since the rest of the black on the car is gloss black it would match better to do that. I can't afford a c/f roof lol but that would be so nice!

Awesome! I'm looking forward to seeing it. What's he charging if you don't mind me asking? I've seen some of his work, it looks absolutely flawless! I wish I was in SoCal!

He is charging me $160 for the materials plus labor. However, I've been told that he only sells the material for $40 so he's charging $120 for labor (he said himself that it will take only about 45 minutes to do it)

I'm willing to pay for it anyways, only because I've seen his work and it looks very professionally done and he is not that far away.

I think it if had M135's, tint in the front, was slammed, and wasn't missing some parts it would look really nice.
