I got mine from Schmiedmann (their office is 5km from where I live), at around $500. I'm sure you can get them cheaper in the US.

Fair enough. Good thing you're not running them then I like the original F30 ones more, too, but that's of course not an option.

Thanks! Got the shift boot and a matching one for the handbrake off eBay, at around $30 incl. shipping from UK to Denmark.

Yeah, they have a slight purple tint when turned off

I've yet to see a car with these headlights here in Denmark, so I like standing out with them. Judging from the couple of small drivearounds today, the car is quite a headturner over here as it sits now. So I'll definitely keep them on, since everyone else over here are running either stock headlights, or some LED round angel eyes.

Wow I like the modern look with those angel eyes. It would be interesting to see those on a prefacelift....

Agreed!

But they don't exist for the prefacelifts, unfortunately.

Could sit a little lower but the car looks very clean.

I would have gone lower in the front, but this is just to the limit. In Denmark there must be at least 25cm from the ground to the beginning of the foglight housing (and at least 50cm to the low beam), on mine it's about 25.5cm to the fog light. When the cops pull you over, they often measure the height and check every little f*cking thing on the car, and they've checked my car already.

Running the car lower than allowed, results in a $250 fine plus a new MOT ranging from $50-100 over here.

EDIT: And thanks!

That is some stupidity from their side. The headlight make sense, but the fog light shouldn't be.

Tell me about it. Welcome to Denmark, the land of high taxes and endless limitations, especially around cars.

I'm seriously digging the angel eyes. I'm also digging the whole car, of course. Just wondered why you "facelifted" the car though.

In January I had a minor crash, breaking the front bumper, hood, one headlight, some of the parts for the climate control and some minor other parts under the hood.

As much as I like the pre-facelift front (and most definitely the headlights), I like the facelifted better for its more "modern" look.

So, instead of getting new pre-facelift parts, I went with a complete facelift of the front.

i have to admit i am usually not one to like some of these aftermarket headlamps and angel eyes. but i have to say those look pretty good and update that front a lot. i like it much better than the small unequal sizes halos used on facelift cars.
really like how this 99 sedan looks with the front changed. does not look dated at all.

*although when off they don't look nearly as clean. look forward to seeing a photo with the headlights and/or indicators on.

Agreed, it looks no where near 13 years old

I'll see if I can grab a few shots of them, both with low beam on and with the indicators on.
