i did the same thing a couple years ago. walked right in without looking over the book at all. i got 100% of the regular traffic questions right and got a decent number of the bike-related questions wrong.

guys i'm too lazy to search. is that course everyone recommends called the MSF course? i'm looking at this:

apparently i dont have to take a road test in NY if i take the course and meet some other prereqs that i've already met. it's a bit pricey ($350), but if it'll teach me skills that'll save my ass i figure it's worth the money
