Good deal on tactical flashlight?
Smith & Wesson MP8 Tactical CREE LED Flashlight for $49.99 (MSRP of $119.95)
Have been looking at picking up a decent tactical flashlight for the house. Is this decent for $50 or is there something out there better in that price range? ![]() Thanks! |

Probably just a relabeled china piece.
Surefire is a safe bet. I personally just use the big Maglight LED without the reflector. $20 each on sale at Christmas at Lowes and they are all over my house. JMO. PS - I do have a Glock GTL21 light on my Glock also.

OP. if it's just gonna sit at home check out the Streamlight Polytac LED and the slightly larger Polytac HP, both use CR123 batteries and are a pretty nice light for the price, $35 on amazon when I got mine. it'll light up to 40 yds nice and bright, and after that it'll illuminate things enough to see them in the dark. but it the house you can light rooms with it.
I've had mine for about 4 months with no complaints and only changed batteries once.

back to the OP - for $50, I would rather spend a few more and get a Surefire.

Don't waste your money on that S&W light. For the same price range, I'd get a FourSevens Quark Tactical.
Your choice, AA or CR123. https://www.foursevens.com/products/...ights/Tactical |
