chad im going to afghanistan. i know...random. found out last wednesday. and left this monday. still got at least 2-3 more days of flyin till i actually make it there. wish me luck

have you been? lol. im going to a shitty ass base. where im staying in a tent. have to shower/**** with the local afghans, which i found out they dont believe in toilet paper. they take water bottles and just rinse...how do you only rinse your ass. thats like take a shower with no soap or towel to dry off with???

I just got back from Kuwait, which by no means wasn't nearly as bad as Iraq or Afghanistan - but it was still bad. I've got friends that were/are there (Afghanistan) and it's not horrible, but it's still very bad. The showers are the worst. Good luck man, you'll be fine. Living conditions suck but it IS a beautiful country.

yeah they have afghanys shooting mortars and rockets from the near by mountains. i should be ok though. i plan on showering only every 2-3 days...no need to shower everyday when youre working 12hrs a day 7 days a week. thanks though, i should be back sometime in october. crazy i havent been out the country in over 15years and they send me to a shitbox im gonna make the best of it though.
