Been feeling a little slow after the long weekend. I'm happy I made this thread because it helps me find energy when I'm exhausted

I just got back from a 4 day trip in Vegas. One of the craziest experiences out there so far. Ended up speeding through Fontana to get my friend to the Emergency Room... felt like John Travolta in Pulp Fiction, without the whole needle thru the breast plate thing.

Easily the best weekend in a long time, followed by the scariest experience of my life. All he needed was an IV and some rest, thank god.

I'm back home now and slept for 18 plus hours, I'm feeling alright. I remember sunday before going down to the pool I slammed 7-8 bottles of water within in hour before heading down to drink more, I think that saved me.

Just did some cardio and pumped most of the toxins out.

Cool...story...brah

Have you taken a break from training at all in awhile? Or have you been having intense workouts...

You might need a deload week, or even just a week off. Your body might be telling you something.

Or you are a lazy **** and don't feel like going anymore! Haha. I know I'm supposed to come in here and motivate you, but maybe you need a week off to either let your body rest (you haven't taken a break in awhile) or you need a week off to remind you why you workout (you'll probably feel like a fat lazy piece of **** and can't wait to get back to the gym).

Something to think about, but I'm pretty sure you went to vegas not so long ago...

Get to the gym, and go heavy. Listen to your body, and take a break if it tells you to.

DAT FEEL....I KNOW IT

I was back in the gym for the first time in a month. School has been crazy with work and partying and my fractured foot stopped me from going. I decided to say **** it and go back even with the fractured foot just to do upper body. I was struggling doing 165 for reps on flat bench. Got tired in 25 mins. why me lol

Yeah guys I could probably use a break. I've been lifting heavy for 8 weeks now, high intensity 3x a week.

Just 2 weeks ago it was hard to have two rest days in a row, I was so psyched to get into the gym. Now it's polar opposites.

What's really happening is, 20-30 minutes into my workout I don't really want to be there anymore. After too hard sets I'm just over it. Compared to doing the full 60 minute session.

My feels brah...

my full workout is only 15 minutes sometimes.

ive been doing "high intensity" workouts for 2.5 years. no excuses. get in the gym, try new things. it will come back.

Im just curious: how many days a year would you say you guys work out in an average year? I did the math and I think I'm in the gym about 225 days a year.

I'm somewhere in that realm too: between 225 and 250. That figure doesn't include any Capoeira or BJJ days, so.....

I'm probably 330 - 340 or so. Less if I have any surgery or major illness or anything. Basically a day off every 2 weeks or so.
