2003 BMW M3 SMG with 92,000 miles
Color: Jet Black on grey nappa leather
The car is mostly stock and only has cosmetic mods
I am the third owner. The first owner had it for less than a year. I bought it from the second owner at around 45k miles.
The car has never been abused and never tracked. Non-smoker driver.
It has been properly maintained and has no major problems.
Price: $17,500 OBO
Title in hand.
The vehicle registration has just been renewed and is good until June 2013.
Reason for sale: Time for a new car.
Mileage will slowly creep up, but I only drive around 100-150 miles per week (5-7k miles per year).
The car has the following options:
Powered front seats
Cold weather package (heated front seats, headlight washers, ski bag, fold-down rear seats)
Harmon Kardon sound system
Rear parking sensors
Front and rear side airbags
The original sticker price was $60k
The car is lightly modded with the following:
Windows are tinted (don't remember exact percentage)
Xenon fog lights
CCFL angel eyes
Right now the car has 19" VMR VB3 Wheels (CSL/ZCP replicas) in great condition, and the price includes them.
The front tires have plenty of tread remaining (80%), and the rears have some negative camber wear (from another car) that should last a few more thousand miles.
I have a set 18" OEM wheels with worn out tires, which can be swapped onto the car to bring down the price.
New OEM front brake pads and rotors were installed two years ago (7/24/2010 at 73.6k miles).
New AC and power steering belt at the same time.
New OEM RTABs installed just prior to that.
I'm telling you all the issues I know about up front, so there aren't any surprises.
Driver's side has a minor door ding.
The rear bumper also has a minor ding from a low-speed impact.
The front bumper has some scratches from everyday driving.
Passenger's side headlight washer nozzle cover is missing. It fell off and should be pretty cheap to replace.
In 2008 the car was involved in a low-speed impact in a parking lot. A driver backed into the driver side door and rear quarter panel, but has been fully restored and looks pristine. The work was done at Sterling Collision in Costa Mesa, and they only use OEM parts.
The sunroof motor has some problems and needs to be replaced. I never bothered with it because I rarely use the sunroof.
Passenger side view mirror cannot be moved up/down (I suspect a broken motor), but can be adjusted manually if needed.
The rear view mirror has the infamous auto-dimming fluid issue. It is usable, but can be replaced.
Windshield wiper fluid reservoir can leak, but it's not a big deal and is a common issue for E46s.
There are absolutely no problems with the engine, transmission, radiator, etc. Basically all the major mechanical components are working fine and I've never had a problem with them. No subframe issues. All inspections were done on time, and I take it to a mechanic twice a year for check ups and services (at South Bay Independent - a very reputable BMW mechanic). I change the oil every 7.5k to 10k miles. I only use BMW recommended oil, Castrol TWS 10W-60 and Mann or Mahle filters.
Test drives are allowed if you have proof of funds, proof of insurance, and a valid driver's license. No lowballers or tire kickers.
I rather work with people who have cash in hand. I don't want to go through the hassle of credit unions and handing over titles and documents without getting payment, etc.

I rather work with people who have cash, but if you need to get a loan or go through a credit union, then I ask that I get paid before handing over the title. I'm not going to hand over the title without receiving payment.

Putting this back on the market... bump.
Can't edit the original thread. The car now has under 94k miles.
Car will come with VB3s only.
