Suggest you look in my signature below for my favorite BMW parts supplier.

They ship quick, but I doubt many dealers will stock the hose so it may take a week or so for them to get it from their source.

Also do not forget to get fluid as well. Not sure what BMW uses, but would recommend trying to get OEM fluid so you do not have mixing problems.

BMW/Bentley Manual states the fluid is Aral Vitamol. This appears to be a German based hydraulic fluid supplier? The dealer may have this, but it may be hard for someone to find the part number, if I find it, I will update. It appears Mercedes uses a similar or the same type of fluid?? You might call my favorite online BMW parts suppliers, they also handle Mercedes parts, so they should have a solution for you?

UPDATE - The BMW Convertible Top hydraulic fluid part number appears to be - 54 34 0 394 395 a bit more expensive than the Febi and I have seen the Febi as a cross reference to the BMW fluid in a number of places.

Here are possible fluid sources -

http://www.rmeuropean.com/Part-Numbe..._D18BD03A.aspx The Febi appears to be manufactured by Bilstein?? and may be a good alternative??

I have the same issue. The left hose got pinched and leaked all fluid out. The hydraulic fluid is actually some kind of mineral oil. Nothing special.

Question

my m3 vert is leaking fluid, but i can't find from where... i've not seen any pools or puddles in the boot tray, and there is some noticable in the resevoir foam boot, but not sure that is the only spot. or how to isolate the leak specifically in the reservoir/solenoid assembly...

any suggestions?

the system leaks enough fluid in 2wks to render the top non-working, which seems like an astounding amount of fluid to lose when only using the top 2-3 times in a short time span.
