Nice car - like the interior.
Never seen a Monaco Blue E46 - is that what the shock tower sticker says? I would have figured Orient Blue.... |

Yeah it actually is Monaco Blue. There very few of them released and I believe they were custom ordered. I saw one a few years ago when I had my older e46 (2003 black on black 325i) and I looked around for the color combo (monaco with natural leather) literally for months, and finally found one and had to travel to get it. Below is the picture of the strut tower

I'm not sure what mileage you're at but when I did my new suspension setup, I also did new RSMs with Z3 M reinforcement plates and front reinforcement plates as well. In addition, I also did new HD control arms & bushings. It all depends on what you're looking to get out of a setup. The price I paid for mine was excellent and I have top quality parts. Keep in mind that H&R springs will gave you a raked look (rear end slightly higher), while Eibach will supposedly give you an even drop all around. I think in terms of a drop the Eibach prokit & H&R sport are similar while the eibach sportline kit is lower all around than the H&R race setup. As for shocks, I like the ride of my Bilsteins and I think they did an outstanding job with the valving, so much so that I don't find myself wishing I had adjustable Koni sport yellows. In your case, besides the Bilsteins I opted for, I would also consider the Koni yellow sport adjustables & Koni FSDs. If you're on a budget then maybe Koni Str.t. There are various kits that combine spring and damper setups, H&R cup kit, Bilstein has a kit, and there is also one for Koni & eibach. Can't wait to see what you choose!

Thanks man, I actually want an even drop but not scrapping, no way! I was considering the Koni sport yellow and Eibach springs. I have about 62000 miles in my car now. But my new contract at work is going to be a 30 mile commute one way so might rack up the miles. I just want a more stiffer ride and better cornering capabilities. Thanks for your input. At tires.com Koni shocks and eibach springs runs about 1100ish i believe. I am going to talk to my local mech who works on my car, man that guy has a e39 with 310000 miles and still runs sweet. I will keep you posted.

As for your suspension setup, it seems like you would be happiest with the Koni FSD/Eibach spring kit. It seems as though you favor those two brands and the Eibach springs will give you the even drop you want while the FSDs won't be too harsh for daily driving. That kit runs $996 on tirerack while the comparable H&R cup kits are $600 and $679. You can find them cheaper elsewhere though.
