Custom 3 Series Sedan Skipass Enclosure Stealth System
I worked on this for about two days and came out with somthing that i think is the cleanest subwoofer install on this car. Its made for sedans with folding seats. Some slight modifications to your car are necessary which I will gladly help you with upon delivery.
The car does retain the ability to close the armrest and use as normal with this setups mounting depth. It also makes a cubby hole behind the rear passenger seat to hide cords, speaker terminal, and install a capacitor or spare battery to retain its stealth appearance. I have one extra of these to sell at the moment and can build more. It is made specifically for the TC Sounds Epic 8. Ive done all the research and have it personally in my car. Its the best 8" out there for balance and performance in a sealed enclosure, period. The amp can be chosen by you. I went with a perfect match JL 500/1. Setup comes with carpeted/ baffled speaker box with terminal, carpeted amp rack custom cut to wheel well, and black leather covered faceplate to clean it all up (black piece around sub, between seats) Im looking for around $260 for this enclosure setup. Shipping will be around $40 to cont US. Heres Pictures: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Zellner; 08-15-2012 at 05:19 PM. |

This should also fit in a coupe right? I have the same pass-thorugh but I would have to knock out the metal plate that is there now.

Very nice install. Could this be done with a larger speaker? I'm running a 12 in a custom fiberglass box on the side of the trunk but I like the look of this better.

I know it wont fit a sedan without factory folding seats. So i would assume it wouldnt fit a coupe. but thats an assumption.

So nice! If I weren't planning on changing cars soon, I'd definitely buy one.

Thank you sir! I was very methodical in the design. I wasnt going to settle for an unfinished looking or uncentered setup like every other one Ive seen. I do have a template for this now and can offer it at a steal for a complete, custom, stealth, subwoofer solution.

That looks really good! You sealed all the seams from the inside, right? Did you do something to keep it from sliding back when on the gas?
P.S. Your dog is awesome!

And the girls... you wouldn't believe the reactions, holy conversation starter haha. Im a big guy at 6'3 225. They think its pretty hilarious I have my tiny dog lol. How about offering precut panels i can put together myself? With all materials needed... might be easier to ship too.

seen this before but never this clean looking...almost looks oem. Just curious as to why you closed the back right side like that? Wouldn't it have been better / more trunk space if you didn't?
Seems like you would have had the same amount of space on the right as you have on the left where your sneaker are. Either way still looks awesome...great price also!

perry who made that? I've always respected MTX so im sure that SUB is doing its thing but that enclosure is different for a better choice of words. it needs carpeting bad but too much wasted space for me so i understand why you would consider another enclosure. im certain an 8" just won't hit and hold that LOW 40hz I am addicted to. the more I look at the enclosure the OP is offering the more i think its really a great option for those who dont need that Much Low end bass but a significant bump from OEM Good luck to you OP

I closed the right because i needed somewhere clean to mount the monster of an amp i was running. The box wasnt large enough on any side to mount it. So i just made a clean mounting surface and molded it to the wheel well. but yes the right would hve been the same as the left trunk space wise. and i needed a panel i could drill into and hide the wires going to the am.
![]() I have done some pretty nice fiberglass enclosures and could conquer the task. Especially since i have a 12w7 and 10w7 in my garage at the moment and the car in my drive way lol. Last edited by Zellner; 08-15-2012 at 05:17 PM. |

you said it, (and i noticed a W7 in an enclosure ) so how much would YOU charge for an enclosure like this: - Drivers side Corner Trunk enclosure - Made for the JL 10W7 - nOT Carpet but sanded smooth, painted to match and clear coated - Sealed or Ported? I plan on mounting my new AMP ( Audison Lrx 5.1k) under the Rear deck C.A.S has the Passenger side box pre done for $350 carpet but no drivers side I'm ready of you have the time and he skills
