There is a lot of partying, but it isn't as extreme as people think. The school has taken a lot of steps to clean up the reputation. For example, lots of majors have become increasingly difficult to be accepted into so students are spending more time studying. Getting into the school is harder than it has ever been and there are a lot of Chinese exchange students. In IV, they are cracking down on a lot of parties. The school says that it is not behind the crackdowns (since IV is not part of UCSB, the school cannot legally do anything), but they are playing a big part in the crackdown.

That is just one side of the school. Lots of students aren't really into partying. Most of the party crowd comes from SBCC (lots of those students live in IV).

Radiology is a good program. Rad techs can make a lot of money.

Awesome. I was playing with a friend today and he got mad at me for playing a "back game" and he said that it was not legal to do that. He says that it defeats the purpose of the game and the game is just about running.

I see how it can be difficult to climb back out of a certain reputation, but its a positive move. Partying has its time and place.

I guess it's not technically illegal, but its regarded as unskillful, disrespectful and somewhat of a nuisance in the fast paced gaming style of backgammon.

But that could just be my culture.

I think if a player is too far back to play a running game, playing a back game is his only shot of winning. Maybe it isn't the best strategy out of the gate, but I can see that it has its purpose. It adds an element of difficulty, I think.

Initially, I thought you meant when a player plays his move and then has a change of heart.

I see what you mean now and yes, it is perfectly legal. That's part of the game.

Also, I'm not surprised that your E30 has (almost) sold so quickly. It looks really clean. I saw in your thread that you want a Wrangler? Those aren't very fun in the canyons.

I went out plenty as a child, but what does that have to do with falling as an adult? Is it supposed to make injuries somehow more pleasant now that I'm bigger, heavier, more aware of the pain and probably slower to recuperate?

Make sure to drink plenty of water. With this heat, it's easy to become dehydrated.

That's what boggles my mind and irritates me. I drank plenty of water (or at least I thought I did), didn't feel tired/dizzy/whatever, and I didn't get a throbbing headache like I normally do when I'm out in the heat.
