That's the point I'm trying to make. It doesn't need cleaning.

If you have 25,000 or more miles on them since their last cleaning, it does.

Yes there was a guy not too long ago that put a cone filter (or maybe it was oval) inside his stock airbox. He had to do a few mods to make it attach. I think he made another air inlet for it as well.

Get off your high horse man, you need to realize you are not always right in everything you post on this site. Add me to you block list, I don't care. I have not insulted you or tried to defame your character in any way. You just can't stand that I may be right in what I say. I have only stated my findings and my experience on the matter. If you want to get upset over it, so be it. What I have said about air filters holds merit. My smoked lights say nothing of my character and to think that pointing that out to the rest of the community would add a boost to your ego, speaks loads of the kind of person you are.
I will continue to advise people to stay away from oiled air filters and promote filtration over air flow.

I believe he was simply stating that just because you have a steady idle, doesn't mean that the ICV could be cleaned just as preventative maintenance.

...at least I think that is what just happened there

What I am saying is obvious, a filter that cleans better than the other negates the need to clean so often. Is that so hard to understand. I don't know about you, but spending less hours under the hood seems like the better deal. And where does it say cleaning an ICV every 20k is required? Maybe for a K&N user.

You are pathetic you know. Pointing out my smoked lights, I do not consider an insult. The lights are colored from mold and bought from ECS. They are not painted or tinted.

Was just simply trying to clear up the confusion. You can continue to be bad at Mango now.

The 1st link seems a very tidy idea. Looks good, all sealed up and seems to be the better idea from the 2 links you have posted up.

I have a conical K&N filter and it works great.
I didnt crush mine though. You can get a flat "stock size" replacement K&N filter if you want to keep your stock box.
Doug, you should get one in your box.
A K&N in your box make life worth living.
Its hard to describe until you experience it for yourself.
K&N... priceless.
