Just bought some goodies for my car!
Hey guys,
I decided to go ahead and invest in some parts for the 330ci. I ordered SS brake lines, posi-quiet pads, and R1 concept premium cross drilled rotors. I also bought a set of underdrive pulleys from Turner and the Cosmos v2 CAI. I'll let you guys know how everything turns out when I install on Friday! Zain |

Last Monday I went to R1 Concepts in La Habra to pickup the brake setup I ordered just a few days prior. The rotors and SS lines were well-packaged together and the pads came in their own manufacturer's packaging. Today I received the pulley kit from Turner, it was initially scheduled for delivery tomorrow so I'm happy it came a day early
. They were cool enough to send some free stickers along with the pulleys Thanks! |

What's R1 concepts? is that an ebay company? La Habra? Were those holes drilled after the rotor was cast? Same questions on the "Cosmos" intake. Whats that? Curious about your new parts. Did you get the SS lines from Turner as well?
Stay safe

R1Concepts is a company that I was referred to by a friend of mine who was sponsored by them in the past. He told me that their products are well-made and very reliable, plus the pricing is competitive. I believe they do have an Ebay store but they are based in La Habra, California (SoCal.)
To be honest, I have no idea whether the rotors were drilled before or after casting. I didn't even think to ask. Sorry. But the SS lines were also ordered from R1Concepts. The cosmos v2 intake is a popular and cost-effective cold air intake. I've read many good reviews on the product so I decided to pull the trigger on it. I ordered a black setup with the Amsoil filter (which is supposedly superior to standard K&N filters) for $191 shipping included. |

I appreciate the concern but I've worked hard to save up for these products which I do believe to be quality.

What quality control standards, if any, does R1 Conceptz adhere to?

mango, do some research on reviews of r1concepts rotors. i was skeptical too, and still am. however i have seen nothing but raving reviews for them. i contacted them yesterday about the drilling of the rotors. i asked them if they were formed during the casting process or were drilled after the fact.
either way the rotors have great reviews from people who were as hesitant as us. anywhere from audi to lexus forums have reviews. just do some searching around you will be surprised.

i understand you might think that drilled rotors look dumb and serve no purpose on the street. however, there's a vast majority of people who really like the look. so if these r1concept rotors are able to replicate the look for oe rotor cost and have similar quality then why not? why wouldn't someone buy them? theyre reputation is pretty good from what i can tell. like i said, i'm hesitant about it as well but i've yet to find a reason not to buy them based on about an hour of research. i'll get back to you on the drilled holes versus cast holes because they have not replied to my email yet. i will not buy rotors that have been drilled. **they also have a 1 year warranty covering warping and cracking. i have also read of them backing this warranty without question.
