Stay stock my friends!
|
I don't think the radiator would make the car run cooler unless you had a lower temp therm. A regular therm would be able to control temps within an 'approved range.' That said, I'm sure you folks with turbos run much hotter, so maybe the regular therm isn't good enough for you, but a 'regular' radiator would.
I agree we have a pressure releasing ET cap, which usually doesn't work before the regular ET cracks open. If you have aluminum radiator and aluminum ET...I was just saying that the build up in pressure could be greater with 'iron clad' system. Do you guys who run FI and have stock radiators have issues with cooling? I don't frequent FI, coz I'm slow!

I would love for somebody to buy one and let us know. The company has EBay's highest rating. We also need the expansion tank with the coolant level indicator in aluminum as well.

It looks exactly like a M3 radiator. I have one myself and I can tell its a m3 radiator.

Just bought this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-E46-323-...8b117e&vxp=mtr Hoping the fit is what they claim, and not the picture (which looks more like an M3 radiator?). They are local to me however, so I'm gonna give them a call on Monday. |

Examine it carefully. If you can find a junk E46 Non-M radiator to compare it with would be the best. I hope that this is a good one. We still need a better expansion tank. Thank you for helping our community.

If someone would like to donate the 1k for a zionsville i would be all about it. I just dont understand why it is neccesary to spend that much on a radiator... i am just looking for something that is not going to break off when i hit a pothole *stock radiator fail*. Also on a side note there is no where near that much in the budget for the cooling overhall anyways =(

this would be for a manual transmission. i know he had trouble test fitting the e46 m3 properly but i do believe they were successful with the m54. cost should be around $700. |

Hello guys, I have the same problem a leak ... I found where is the leak and it's because the radiator is broken near one of hoses. There is a crack.
So I don't want to have the same problem and like you, try to find an aluminium radiator, but for a e46 328i not an m3. And maybe I found one ... there is an hole for the expansive tank. but still hesitate ![]() http://www.ebay.com/itm/140702659948...S:1123&vxp=mtr_nr_ |

Any news on a potential solution? I just e-mailed Fluidyne to see if they have one yet.

I'm waiting it arrives at home. And will see if it's fit without modify anything. But it's the only one (except zionsville) which looks like oem radiator. And I asked picture, size, before buy it. |
