Maintenance weekend

Replaced entire cooling system, ofhg, and vanos seals. It was one of the best feelings turning the key and having nothing go wrong after all I replaced at once. Car runs like a champ, well not that it didn't before, but now I have some piece of mind to go along with it.

Good for you! That's a good amount of work to get done in a weekend. Enjoy your reliable and well maintained BMW!

Did you replace the actual seals or swapped out the vanos with one already rebuilt?

Thanks, and yes, it was quite a bit for one weekend.

The car is/has been well maintained. Color isn't my concern as much as sludge. Crankcase is free of sludge and that's all I'm worried about. The motor has developed a protective layer over time which I'm happy about. I'm actually glad my motor isn't more golden colored simply because I feel that provides less protection.
