I'm looking for shops around Frederick, MD. I found Frederick Motorsports....anyone have experience with them? I'm going to take my care there for an oil change I think just to test them out.

Strong Recommendation for 2 shops - Repair and Dent Removal

International Auto

First, if you are down near Fredericksburg, I highly recommend International Auto, I know the owner personally, and have had 4 BMWs serviced there. I would not take any BMW to any other shop if I had a choice. The critical thing to note is this shop has the hardware and software to connect directly to BMW NA, thus, there is almost nothing they can't do that a dealer can do. It is rare for a private shop to be able to connect to BMW NA.

DentMasters

I have had dents removed with flawless results by Don Mileson of DentMasters of Manassas (search for DENT on facebook) for years. His service is exemplary and his results speak for themselves. He's priced reasonably, and will give discounts for multiple dents, etc. in one trip.

Don has been to my house numerous times, but serves all of NOVA.

Passport seems to get universally good reviews in this thread, but I haven't seen much said at all about BMW of Alexandria. Anyone?

Thanks
BMW of Arlington is now BMW of Alexandria. Nice showroom but their partz prices are through the roof!

I'm not sure if this is the right section. But with a little shameless self promotion...

We are an auto performance/repair shop located in Virginia Beach, Virginia (Lynnhaven). The owner, Phil, is a proud owner of an E46 M3. He is a BMW specialist and we are trying to reach out to more clients.

With an AWD Dyno and a state of the art garage, you can feel at ease to bring your vehicle to us for any repair need you could ask for. Feel free to check us out.

Not a bad place to have work done - the owner has an E46 M3 and they service most German marques, and are very up-front about work they are doing to your vehicle and seem very fair and reasonable. I had my transmission service and metal water pump install done here and afterwards it was discovered that my cooling fan had two blades broken off of it - they replaced the fan at no cost to me.

At Speed Motorsports, Hanover, MD

Firstly, At Speed has an awesome shop - more than a handful of Porsches, some domestics and a smattering of BMWs getting serviced and performance parts. They are my local Dinan dealer, and I had Stage I software installed with no issues. The staff seems knowledgeable and the rep. had no issues letting me wander around the shop (very clean & well-kept) oo-ing and ah-ing at their work. I'm considering them for an eventual header/ exhaust install, and will report back afterwards.

Road Race Technology is a great place with great people and quality.

One thing that I didn't like was the fact that whenever I go in, they assume I'm an uneducated child with money to spend because I'm 19.

Their work is good but their prices are unbelievable sometimes.

I had a Rogue Engineering Ikon Exhaust installed onto my 325XI (which RE insists fits the XI no problem) and the install took from 2:30pm to 5:30pm.

I paid roughly around $300 for the install, and tipped an extra $20 because they were good guys.

I really don't think a basic axleback exhaust should cost that much, let alone the fact that I had my 2nd resonator removed and upon inquiry of adding it back on,

they told me it would be the cost of the install itself so around $300 just to add back the bit of metal they took from me and may possibly still have.

Also quoted me $2850 on an XI variant KWV1 purchase and install.

Besides the sketchy $$$ quotings, nice place...

Auto International in Annapolis, MD does work on my 325 sometimes when I either don't have the time, I don't have a lift, I don't feel like it, etc... They will install your parts if you supply them and will never try to upsell you unless your car is falling apart around what they are replacing. (IE, upselling worn idler pulleys when replacing belts, etc.)

They have an excellent reputation online and I have dealt with them several times over the past 6-7 years.

Has anyone had any experience with Alexandria Bavarian Services? (http://www.alexandriabavarian.com/)

They have a slew of good reviews on yelp and when I called about general information related to shopping for a new E46 they were helpful if short.

Any feedback is much appreciated.

Re: ** Mid-Atlantic BMW Service Experiences**

I apologize if this is redundant but I am looking for a shop that would be able to look over a potential purchase for me. I am in NC and the car is in McLean, VA. I want to make sure the car is in good shape before I take the time to come up there. Thanks for any help that can be provided!

Any good muffler shops around the NoVa area? I'm about to get headers and I want to get high flow cats welded on somewhere.
