Dayco is not recommend. I'm doing a alternator change on my car and can't find any OEM belts any where. Dayco belts are in AutoZone

As far as the belt - it's a fvcking belt! As long as it's the right size it'll be fine.

If you drive an automatic, just pay someone to do it.
I needed to buy some $50 fan clutch removal tool kit to change my dad's auto x5 belts, which is same design as the e46.

When with those tools, it was a pain to remove the fan and put it back on.

But those tools are good investment

For my manual, changing belt is a 10 min job.
