Probably. I'm experimenting to see what I can get away with. Some BB and Ralph Lauren ads have models wearing four or five different patterns, and some of them look pretty good. So I'm pushing my boundaries a bit.

This is the best day ever.

I've got my favorite cuff links on today, too.

Tomorrow I'm going to wear what I now think of as my "Ed Ensemble":

Plaid sportcoat
Striped tie
Houndstooth check shirt
Madras pocket square
Seersucker striped pants
Polka-dot socks
AE shoes

It's going to be awesome. I will post many pics for your enjoyment and education.

personally, i think the tie is a little muted compared to the entire outfit because of the fabric, and the color... however, its still a really sharp ensemble. the tie just needs to pop a little more IMO, but still very successful

Young men who dress like old men. Style thread for boring guys with boring office jobs.

Lucas - not feeling that tie with the shirt/coat. I think the textures clash a bit.

It's more easy to kill with a sword than with a gun.

A sword is more frightening than toy-looking gun like glock.

robbing with a sword is a good thing

short answer - buy things from brooks brothers and shoes from allen edmonds, you'll fit in just fine here lol... seriously tho, styleforum.net is a good start

what are you looking to revamp? a lot of the people on there dress much more classic than modern, timeless if you must, in both a casual and professional manner. what do you wear now? what do you want to revamp?

Basically the entire thing. Just graduated college and looking to make my wardrobe a little more professional/mature.

Looks good, a little fallish with the wool tie though. I try to match wool/cashmere tie with a heavier fabric suit like a wool flannel.

Yeah, I could see that. I'm experimenting with a few ties with this shirt.

I agree.....with the hellishly hot summer we've had, and the week and a half of fall weather we had last week, I think I jumped head first into wanting it to be fall.....despite it being 99 degrees today, lol.
