Honestly, first Bimmers for me, and I thought that's just how it was supposed to be. The stock taillights worked perfectly. So totally beats me unless previous owner played around with it. Oh well, I'm soooooooo damn happy they work now.

That brown wire is supposed to be in the stock harness. My guess is it came undone when you removed the factory tails or the PO did some handwork there. Anyway, you have it working now. Great.

However, EE tails look great, specially on coupes. It came preinstalled in my car with its own share of problems. I have a couple of DIYs for LED replacement on these and the resistor boxes. Its kind of PIA to work on them but worth it.

Thanks trj! Yea I didn't see how they were before so I had no idea. I just figured it needed a ground. Oh well. I'm just most happy cause I hated my blinkers being so damn fast

After 2.5 years my EE LED tails have come to the same issue that a lot of people complain about which is the resistor/cap harness fails and now my brake lights etc only light up dimly when on or when braking. Turn signal lights up fine. No bulb out indicator.

Anyone got a spare harness for sale???
