Trans Fluid @ 120k miles

Ok, so I am in the process of getting on top of all the regular maintenance of my 02 330i. I am wanting to do my transmission fluid and my research tells me in order to avoid the risk of dislodging sludge and metal particles in the transmission causing failure, changing after 60k miles should be avoided. Unfortunently there was no serivce record that came with the car and the car fax isnt that detailed

. I have owned the car for about a month and no problems with the transmission other then it seems to take it a extra couple seconds to for Drive to engage once coming out of reverse.

What are yall's opinions on changing the fluid, now that i am at 120k miles with no knowledge if it had been changed before? Thanks for the advice!

On the basis of personal experience? Or is it just a small risk?

I know a few people with auto e46's that did it with no issues

Did mine at 130,000. Now at 134,000 shifts better to me.
