Tail light part issues

OK, so I have searched for this part on every site i know... And every single one has a crap diagram with no pictures of each individual part. So can anyone tell me what this is called, a part number, or where i can find one ...Any help at all will be greatly appreciated!

Did you try realoem? Unless your light is aftermarket, or not an E46, your taillight bulbs should all go into a carrier like this. The sockets are integral to the whole assembly.

Yea, but u wasn't able to tell what the diagram was showing exactly because it wasn't showing an actual photo of the part, I just want the bulg plug. How can I get just that

Do you have a pic of your lights? Because that socket you show doesn't look like it came out of an E46. Seeing the light would help.

Oh dang, I did realize that it was all together like that, I could get some pics up soon but I can tell you they are aftermarket Euro style

Bulbs are standardized but sockets are not. As has been suggested, you have Depot or some other brand of light, and that manufacturer is the one who can say for sure what socket goes in it. Variables such as ear size/count, socket depth, circumference and seal type all come into play. Try bringing the socket and lamp to Advance Auto or an RV/trailer supply and maybe you'll get lucky.

For the time and money you'll spend finding one you might be better off just buying stock lights from another BMW owner. There are enough people changing out to LED that there's always a good supply of OEM taillamps. Might even find some free on craigslist.
