Starting issue & ac issue

Couple of problems here,

First , being summer now, I hve not been able to use my a/c.
When I turn the ac on, nothing changes, it's just air, not cold at all.
I looked into it on my own and found a few interesting details.

1. It doesn't look like my electric fan ever spins, Regardless of the temperature or when I use the ac.
2. Belts are in tact and the compressor pulley seems to spin with the belt.

My guess would be the fan? Although I'm sure the best route is to send voltage to the fan.

Now with the more annoying problem. Over the last few months I've noticed my ignition slipping when i attempt to start my car.
First start in the morning always works with no issues. And after the car has sat for a long few hours.
But.. When it starts gettin faulty during the day, I will turn my key (all the lights and radio come on) and I will hear the starter spool and then cut off. Usually after 4 attempts it fires on no problem.
When it gets really bad, like today, I would turn the key and nothing would happen , no noises, as if something was disconnected (minus the radio and lights again). I sat there trying for a 45 seconds , then I hit lock and unlock on my key an put the key back in and it worked normally.

So my thoughts were maybe a faulty ignition switch?

Could be the key. Couple of my friends had to get new keys because of the same problems. As for the AC, check the fuses. Make sure the belt is on there (not kidding). My belt ripped off one day for my AC at a red light. If all that's ok take it to an AC shop and have them recharge it and do the dye test to check for leaks. Is your car auto or manual? Asking because manual cars can have bad clutch position sensors and will not let the car start.

So when you're trying to star the car you don't hear it clicking or anything? No trouble turning over?

As far as the AC goes, what color are the dots on the dial in between the two center vents?

I think it may be your starter. You can get them tested at Autozone and Advanced, I believe.

No clicking, brand new battery . Yeah my thoughts were the starter or ignition switch in the steering column.

The vents have the 3 blue dots of course.

Is it true If your electric fan isn't working , your ac won't work aswell?

A new key? I've read around about those issues, but how would you diagnose that lol. Funny u do say that, 10% of the times I try to lock and unlock my doors, I need to do it manually lol

Kk, I just found out something really interesting!

I had my ac on full blast, the engine was at operating temperature.
I unplugged my fan (since it wasn't spinning) and plugged it back in, it took a few seconds and it started to spin fast, But, it only spins for about 15 seconds then turns off again.

Within that time, the ac started to get colder.

Update**
The fan does indeed work with the ac off once engine temps are normal.

But when I turn on the ac, the fan shuts down. So I figure it needs to be re pressurized (the freon) because I read that was one of the fans operational checks .

I have the same problem with my car, intermittent start. It starts right up in the morning but if i go in the store for 20 mins or so - then I've got problems. I can always get it to start eventually, but it may take a minute or two. Did you resolve your issue? I hope it's the ignition switch and not the starter!
