Scouring side of the sponge

I caught my neighbor removing dead bugs off the front of her truck today with the green side of the sponge and it left a lot of scuff marks, does anyone know if there is an easy solution to this or should she just go to a detailing place and have it fixed. I said I would give her a hand if it's not a huge project. the front of her truck looks bad all over the hood. The painnt is white and you can see the marks pretty much all over it

Unfortunately the green side is infused with pumice. I was not happy when I found this out recently, believing that it was just plastic. Good luck fixing the damage. The car had volcanic rocks dragged across it!

I've had many detailing clients who needed help after doing something like this. The answer will depend on how deep the imperfections are but most likely it's something that can be removed. Start off with a light polish like the Meguiar's Ultra Finishing Polish M205 and then move up to the Meguiar's Ultra-Cut Compound M105 if needed. This combo is usually pretty effective and can be done by hand for small isolated areas. If it's a larger surface area or for best results a buffer like the Porter Cable 7424XP Random Orbital Buffer is a huge help. If you need help with polishing don't hesitate to ask or check out our polishing section of our detailing guide. Good luck!
