Bumping this back up.
I'm at school now and trying to cook everything, and avoid processed food. Anyways, this is where I was at prior to school: Protein: 22% Carb: 45% Fat: 33% I've been slacking when it comes to keeping count, but I have around 10 chicken breasts in the fridge/freezer, ham, turkey, lettuce (mainly for snacks), strawberries, bananas and grapes. I also have plenty of pasta, wheat bread, peanut butter for lunches. I've been taking protein shakes still (30g) and eating protein bars (20g) when I workout. I'm coming to 2 weeks left in phase 3. I'm currently at a 34 waist and 178 (just measured both today). Still around 16% BF. What else should I look into buying? Now that I'm cooking on my own, I can really narrow down what I want to eat. I really need to stock up on veggies. I love broccoli, carrots...that type of stuff.

yea if you want to tighten up throw that stuff in the garbage. If you want the carbs eat potatoes or sweet potatoes instead of bread and pasta,

I would be mentally exhausted if consuming food was made complicated. I don't know how you guys do it.

These guys get so specific about everything. Percentages this and simple carbs that. I'm exhausted just reading it. LOL! I think that's why we just let dabears handle the dietary stuff. That's his thing!!

Lots of veggies.
Fruit. Chicken. Fish. Egg white. Sweet potatoes. Steel cut oats. Lean red meat. (<4 times a week) Whey and Casien protein. A BUNCH OF WATER Dairy is kept to a minimum, so are breads. Actually I haven't had either in a week. Pretty much all my diet consist of for the past couple of weeks, working on getting spring break shredded. I play lacrosse two times a day 5 days a week, and workout 5 times a week. I intake around 3000-3500 calories on physical activity days.. it is really tough to do cleanly, but I am feeling great |

I'm seeing a lot of "cut the carbs". I eat an oatmeal mix every morning consisting of whole grain granola, chex, raisins, and cranberries. Big bowl w/ 2% milk. Too many carbs?

if that's all then no. That seems fine. It's the late night breads and pastas you have to worry about when want to cut fat.

Mostly personal preference/macro needs. Nothing wrong with eating lean red meat every day just as long as your macros are in check. I just feel less bloated eating fish and chicken rather than red meat when I pretty much run two hours a day.

Late night carbs are the best! My last meal yesterday... PROATS! 1 1/2 cups of oats, 3 cups of whole milk, 1 large banana, 1 scoop of protein.

Agreed!!!!!! It's funny how differently the bigger guys eat compared to the rest. I feel like the guys who want muscle are scared to eat.

no late night carbs / 6 meals a day / meal timing in general has been completely debunked by intermittent fasting
and the more active you are the more carbs you can/should eat. for most guys, focusing on eating around 100g of quality carbs a day is plenty to fuel your gym activities and avoid excess fat gain. but if you are eating more calories than you burn just from fat and protein and cutting carbs completely, you will still gain fat. If you eat excess calories it will always trump any effort at fat loss, regardless of carb intake
